We can only dream about creating anything as incredible as the hand-blown terrariums created by Brooklyn artist Paula Hayes. We could spend hours staring at her mini-masterpieces, which were recently shown the Marianne Boesky Gallery. In fact, her terrariums are inspiring enough to make us want to try it ourselves. Below, we rounded our favorite terrarium styles as well as a clear, helpful video about how to get started. It's at Design*Sponge, and features a how-to and tips from the green-thumbed folks at Sprout Home. (Many of the terrariums shown here are available at their site too.)
1. Copenhagen terrariums @ Pop Deluxe, from $139. 2. The New Terrarium @ Amazon, $17. 3. Glass pears @ VivaTerra, from $49. 4. Domsai Space Men @ A+R, $140 5. Bell Jar @ Anthropologie, $78. 6. Different styles + starter kit @ Terrain. 7. Classic glass @ Terrain, $38. 8. Terrarium lamps by Roost @ Velocity, from$170. 9. Recycled Glass Bubbles + tools by Roost @ Velocity, from $32.

I also have quirky terrariums but sadly only for local sales in Vancouver, B.C.

I use thrift store glassware and ceramics to create terrariums and planters. I then sculpt tiny figurines from Fimo to make little organic dioramas
@ tsegal,
Those are so cool! Wish I lived near Vancouver to buy one for myself :)
