Fornasetti fans have an annual event to look forward to around this time of year: The release of the highly collectible Fornasetti calendar plate.
Originally created and produced in 1968 by Piero Fornasetti, the calendar plate tradition has lived on thanks to Barnaba Fornasetti. Each one is part of a limited release of only 700 plates, some of which are valued around 3,000 Euros ($4,450). The 2010 calendar plate features a snake theme taken from the historical Fornasetti archive.
Check out the other plates from this decade, shown below and full-size at their site.
